Remedy schedules playtest for its first multiplayer game – FBC: Firebreak

FBC: Firebreak, Remedy Entertainment's first multiplayer game, is coming out next month. Ahead of the launch, Remedy has now announced plans for a public playtest, but you'll need to sign up to participate.

While this is a public playtest, it is not an open playtest. Those interested in trying Remedy's co-op shooter, set in Control's Oldest House, will need to sign up now and wait for an invite to participate. The playtest will take place between the 15th of May and the 19th of May, giving players just one weekend to put the game to the test ahead of its June 17th launch.

FBC: Firebreak will see teams of three FBC employees taking down threats throughout The Oldest House, armed with various inventive weapon types, as shown in a previous gameplay trailer.

The game will be launching on Steam and the Epic Games Store, a notable change from Alan Wake 2, which has remained an Epic Games Store exclusive since launch. The game will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Better yet, Remedy will be adding the game to both PlayStation Plus Premium and Xbox Game Pass (PC Game Pass included), on day-one.
