Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has sold over 10 million copies worldwide

Capcom's beloved Monster Hunter franchise continues to prove its immense commercial success. The company revealed that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has surpassed the 10 million copies sold since its 2022 release. This major achievement builds upon its strong performance in 2023, when it had already crossed the 5 million mark.

The success of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is particularly notable. Despite being a Nintendo Switch exclusive at launch and not positioned as the direct follow-up to the blockbuster Monster Hunter World, Rise moved 10 million copies worldwide. This strong showing from a “non-mainline” entry is a positive indicator for Capcom's broader franchise strategy.

The phenomenal performance of Monster Hunter Wilds further amplifies this momentum. The latest iteration in the series is proving to be a colossal sales driver for Capcom in 2025, having already shattered records by selling an astounding 10 million copies within its first month on the market.
